By the end of this seminar, you will have the training and tools necessary to:

1. Screen for anxiety in the context of a brief pediatric visit.

2. Identify and utilize educational resources for families of children with anxiety (e.g., workbooks, websites, apps)

3. Prescribe commonly used medications to treat anxiety in children and adolescents. 4. Use basic intervention tools for children and adolescents with anxiety.

FACULTY

Elise Fallucco, MD
Dr. Fallucco is a child and adolescent psychiatrist & Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Florida.  She serves as the Director of the Collaborative Care Partnership between Pediatric Primary Care and Psychiatry where she works to advance early identification and intervention for emotional and behavioral disorders in primary care.

Peggy Greco, PhD 
Dr. Greco is a clinical pediatric psychologist at Nemours Children's Healthcare System and Assistant Professor of Psychology at Mayo College of Medicine. Dr. Greco has over 25 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety disorders.


The cost of this training is supported by generous grants to the Partnership for Child Health from the Hall - Halliburton Foundation and from the Substance and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). These grants allow us to offer this training at NO COST

Accreditation: The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit: The University of Florida College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
